What does Edit Order's Flow connector do?

The Shopify Flow connector provides Edit Order actions for use in workflows. These promotion and bundle/subscription actions serve as growth strategies to streamline fulfillment and build customer loyalty through automation.

What's the difference between an action and a workflow?

Shopify Flow workflows contain three components: triggers (activities activating automation), conditions (workflow rules), and actions (desired outcomes). Edit Order specializes in actions like adding EU adaptors, promotion items, special packaging, or replacing bundle SKUs with individual product SKUs.

What kinds of automation can I set up?

Two automation types are available: promo automation (automatically adding free items to orders) and bundle fulfillment automation (expanding bundles into individual SKUs to speed fulfillment).

Do the automations work for cart promos?

Automations only edit orders after customer placement; they don't add cart promos while items remain in the shopping cart.

Will it work with my fulfillment?

Since fulfillment providers differ, consultation with your fulfillment team before implementing workflows is recommended.

Will automation cancel and/or duplicate orders?

No. Edit Order + Shopify Flow automation doesn't create cancelled or duplicate orders.

Are there limitations?

Third-party apps incompatible with Shopify Checkouts and multi-currency orders cannot be edited through automation.

Is it included in my current plan?

Automation actions require Professional or Premium Plus plans for Shopify, Shopify Advanced, or Shopify Plus merchants.

What is Premium Plus?

Premium Plus ($299/month) includes Shopify Flow automation for bundles, subscriptions, and promotions; SKU/barcode search; preset line item properties; priority support; and unlimited edits.

When is it available?

Promo and bundle fulfillment automation are available now.

Is automation exclusive to Shopify Plus?

No. Automation works on Shopify, Shopify Advanced, and Shopify Plus plans.
